NSD Transportation FAQ

  • To qualify for school bus transportation, students must reside outside of the designated walk zone and within the school boundary. The walk zone is defined as the distance a student can safely walk to school without bus service.

  • Yes, your child can ride a different bus with prior permission. To facilitate this, a parent or guardian must provide a dated letter that includes the parent/guardian's contact number. Alternatively, you may call the school office to request a permission slip that your child can present to the bus driver. Please ensure that this request is made in advance to avoid any confusion on the day of travel.

  • Please submit a Transportation Ticket:

  • If your child has lost an item on the bus, the best way to report it is by calling First Student at (208) 468-2800. Be prepared to provide a detailed description of the lost item, as well as the date and route on which it was left. Our team will do their best to assist you in locating the item. Prompt reporting increases the chances of recovery, so please reach out as soon as possible!
