Because of the great need for support in purchasing school supplies in the Nampa School District, Impact Radio Group – MY102.7FM has partnered with the Karcher Mall and other supporting Treasure Valley business to host a "Fill the Bus" Supply and Cash Donation Drive.

Did you know?

  • The Nampa School District serves over 14,000 students.
  • 63% qualify for free or reduced lunch.
  • 1,401 qualify as homeless – 185 of those students are unaccompanied youth (The Nampa School District serves the largest homeless population in the state).
  • Every year, teachers spend hundreds of dollars of their own money buying supplies for their classrooms.
  • Supplies are needed for kids at all grade levels, not just elementary school, including backpacks for all ages.

Can you help?

From Aug. 7-12, Brown Bus Company is supplying an antique school bus to park inside the Karcher Mall in an attempt to fill the bus with school supplies that will then be donated to the Nampa School District on Saturday, Aug. 12, during a live radio and Facebook event.

James Garner, on-air personality, program and production director with Impact Radio Group, will live on the bus from Aug. 10-12  in an effort to increase awareness and donations for the District.

All cash donations will support a fund for kids in the Nampa School District who cannot afford to purchase a lunch and are unable to bring one from home, and all supply donations will be loaded on the Bus and presented during an event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Karcher Mall center court.

All business donations (cash or supplies) over $500 will qualify for an on-air branding campaign and anyone who stops by to show their support or make a donation can enter to win a $500 Karcher Mall Shopping Spree courtesy of the Karcher Mall.

Please help My102.7FM in assisting the Nampa School District and youth of our community. Spread the word to everyone you know and donate what you can to this worthwhile initiative. “Fill the Bus” 2017 – Nampa School District Supply and Cash Drive.
