Cindy Arnzen

Skyview High School teacher Cindy Arnzen was named the Western Business Education Association’s 2017 Secondary Business Educator of the Year. Arnzen is a business education teacher at the school and is the advisor for the Nampa School District’s Business Professionals of America (BPA). The award recognizes her contributions as a teacher and in the advancement of business education.

One of her nominators shares: “Here at the state CTE office, Cindy’s name is one of the first to be mentioned when we need advice or a second opinion from a business education perspective. Cindy understands and exemplifies that we are stronger together and that we need each other in business education to make a difference in our students’ lives statewide.”

A former student of Arnzen said: “She genuinely cares for her students as if they were her own. She wants her students to get the most out of their education by preparing them for the real world ahead and ensures that her students truly understand the material before moving on, even if that means presenting the materials in different ways. She lets students know they can depend on her by going out of her way-too-busy schedule for anyone who is willing to put in the effort.”
