Trustee Vacancy and Appointment Timeline (as per ID Code 33-504)

Date of board vacancy declared - Written notice is given to resign as Nampa District Trustee. It is recommended that the board declare a vacancy. Vacancy shall be declared at any regular or special meeting and recorded in board minutes. A media statement is recommended. Note: It is recommended in the media statement that you let the public know that the district is accepting applications. Nampa School District must declare vacancy within thirty (30) days.

August 11, 2023 - Application Deadline

The Board Clerk will work with the County to get Verification of Voter Registration status.

August 21, 2023 - Next Board Meeting

Review Application and Process prior to interviews.



August 23, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. - Special Board Meeting

Interview Candidates



The appointed trustee will serve for the balance of the unexpired term of the office which was declared vacant and filled by appointment. (ID Code 33-504)

Note: All discussions on whom to appoint and appointment are required to be in open session. Appoint Trustee. Must be recorded in board minutes. Trustee oath of office is given at the next regular meeting after appointment.
