The Nampa School District has been working to put together a science curriculum plan for grades 2 and 3. We are seeking individuals who would like to be part of our curriculum committee to research the standards and develop curriculum units.
The committee will meet four times during the school year to receive training on NGSS standards and instruction, develop district documents for the science units, and create a curated list of vetted curricular materials and resources to use in the construction of units. The dates are: Dec. 5, Jan. 23, March 5, and May 7.
Additional Meetings
June 2020: The committee will meet June 1, 2 and 3 to construct curriculum units one and two.
October 2020: The committee will meet one day to construct unit three. Date: TBA
January 2021: The committee will meet one day to construct unit four. Date: TBA
April/May 2021: The committee will meet to provide feedback on units and revisions. These will be two after-school meetings. Dates: TBA
