Several Nampa Career and Technical Education programs have been awarded more than $1 million in grants. A total of $8 million was awarded statewide as part of Governor Brad Little’s “Leading Idaho” initiative to offer more in-demand career training opportunities.
NSD programs receiving funding include Emergency Medical Technician, Construction, Early Childhood Education, Commercial Photography, Automotive Maintenance & Repair, Automated Manufacturing, Welding, and Automotive Collision Repair.
The grants are on top of the $80 million approved during the Sept. 1, 2022, legislative session for additional in-demand career training.
More than 140 secondary and 26 postsecondary programs applied for the grants. All applications were evaluated and prioritized based on data provided by the Idaho Department of Labor. NSD recipients are listed below. The full list of grant recipients is available here.
