Bond Election Approved for March 14

The Nampa School District Board of Trustees voted at a special meeting on Nov. 28, 2022, to run a $210.2 million school bond on March 14 to address and improve educational outcomes for students. The bond will focus on the following:

  • Aging facilities
  • Imbalance in the utilization of facilities and programs
  • Major maintenance needs
  • A desire to improve access to special education, preschool, fine arts and athletics programs

If voters approve the bond, which requires a 2/3 majority, funds will be used for the following projects.

Nampa High School replacement: $100 million

Centennial Elementary Replacement: $25.5 million

New Career & Technical Center: $30 million

Columbia High School: $6.7 million

  • New Auxiliary Gym
  • Capital Renewal*

Skyview High School: $26 million

  • New Theatre
  • Renovation of Existing Theatre to Band Room
  • Capital Renewal*

West Middle School Renovations and Capital Renewal: $4.6 million

Central Elementary Minor Renovations and Space Upgrades: $3.3 million

District-Level Athletics: $11.2 million

  • Resurface Middle School and High School Tracks
  • Replace Tennis Courts at Columbia High School
  • Stadiums
Bleacher Replacements
Field Upgrades
Bulldog Bowl Renovations
  • Gymnasiums
Bleacher Replacements
Weight Rooms
Sound Systems

Safety & Security: $1.8 million

Demolition Projects: $1.1 million

The cost for the bond is approximately $25 per $100,000 of a home’s assessed value, after the homeowner’s deduction.
