26-27 Course requesting is coming up!

Students will soon have access to NSD’s course requesting system called ClassChoice.

Course requesting presentations and requesting window dates will be set by current grade level and current school.

Students’ access to edit course requesting in ClassChoice closes at end of the school day on February 19th, 2026.

Reminder for Schedule Request Changes

Your schedule is based upon grade level requirements, courses you selected during the requesting window, and available seats in courses.


Changes are limited and based upon open seats in courses. Changes will be considered for these reasons:

  • Change is needed to meet graduation requirements.
  • Schedule has an error (missing a class period, duplicate course listed, unmet prerequisite, etc.)
  • Request to move in/out of AP/CP/Honors course
  • Request move in/out for 11th -12th CTE Courses. Requests to move out of 11th-12th CTE course may not be granted.
  • Aide Request – “See Counselor” on your schedule.
  • “No Teacher – See Counselor” on your schedule.
  • Extenuating circumstances per administrative judgement

Be sure to review campus location for any transfer classes, location can be found within Room # and School (CHS-Columbia, NHS-Nampa, SHS-Skyview).

Many of the courses are offered at each homeschool while offering unique opportunities for on-site students and students district-wide through Career and Technical Education (CTE).

Four Year Grad Planner

NEW for 26-27 Course Requesting and Planning!

 

Students will have the opportunity to fill out Four Year Grad Planners to help them plan prior to ClassChoice course requesting for the 26-27 School Year and help them track credits earned, and credits planned throughout their high school career. 

Graduation credit requirements vary by Graduating Class. Credits earned must meet requirements by subject area.

  • Class of 2026-51 total credits
  • Class of 2027-51 total credits
  • Class of 2028-54 total credits; 3 additional elective credits
  • Class of 2029-56 total credits; 1 additional Math II credit; 4 additional elective credits
  • Class of 2030-58 total credits; 1 additional Math I credit, 1 additional Math II credit and 5 additional elective credits

Students are encouraged to graduate with more credits than required and take the opportunity to explore career paths and interests while marching towards their post-secondary education and life goals.
